Charles Miller Smith is a senior advisor to DS&S.

Charles brings to our team very wide commercial experience from his previous roles in Unilever and ICI. He was Finance Director of Unilever from 1989 to 1993 and Chief Executive and Chairman of ICI from 1995 to 2001. He also has significant experience in the financial sector as a former Director of HSBC and Senior Advisor to Goldman Sachs.

Currently he is a Senior Advisor to Warburg Pincus, the private Equity Group, and Deutsche Bank, RREEF Infrastructure. He is also Chairman of Asia House and Chairman of the Scottish Power Advisory Board. Until recently he also served as a Non-Executive Director on the Defence Management Board of the UK Ministry of Defence.
